Fintech products carry a different weight than a typical app: people trust them with numbers that matter to their lives. That trust has to be earned in the architecture, not just the interface.
Financial precision starts with never using floating-point math for money — every calculation in a fintech build uses fixed-point or integer-cents arithmetic, because a rounding error that's invisible in a demo becomes a real discrepancy at scale. It is a small technical decision with outsized consequences, and it is non-negotiable in our builds.
Whether the product is a personal budgeting app, an investment-tracking dashboard, a lending or loan-management platform, or a digital wallet, the common thread is data the user needs to trust completely: real-time balances, transaction history that never silently reorders or disappears, and calculations (interest, returns, amortization schedules) that are auditable and correct.
Security follows fintech expectations rather than generic app expectations: encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, and audit logging on every financial action. Where a product connects to bank data or payment rails, we integrate the appropriate financial data APIs (such as Plaid-style aggregators, where applicable to your target markets) rather than asking users to hand over banking credentials directly.
We are candid about scope: we are software engineers, not licensed financial advisors or a regulated financial institution. For products that require specific financial licensing (lending, custody of funds, payment processing as a licensed entity) in your jurisdiction, that licensing is yours to obtain — we build the software to the specification your legal and compliance advisors set, and will flag clearly if a feature you describe typically requires a license to operate.
Delivery is fixed-price and escrow-protected like every TechRadian project: a written checklist of every calculation and security control, tested by you against real scenarios, paid in USD or your currency once you have verified it works.
Questions people ask us
No, and we will always be upfront about that. We are a software development company. If your product requires a financial license to legally operate (lending, holding customer funds, payment processing as a licensed entity), obtaining that license is on you and your legal counsel — we build the software to the specification they require.
By never using floating-point numbers for money — all monetary values are handled as integer cents or fixed-point decimals throughout the system, calculation and storage alike. This is standard fintech engineering practice and one of the first things we set up in any financial build.
Where your target market has a financial data aggregation API available (Plaid and equivalents in various countries), yes — through that API rather than ever asking users to hand over their online banking password directly to your app.
Encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, and a full audit log of every financial action a user or admin takes. For products handling especially sensitive data, we will discuss additional hardening (e.g. SOC 2 readiness) as part of scoping.
Yes — loan origination, amortization schedules, repayment tracking and late-fee calculation are all things we build with the same fixed-point precision as the rest of a fintech product. Licensing to actually lend money is, again, on your side.
These tend to be substantial builds given the security and precision requirements — expect mid four-figure to five-figure investment depending on scope. Always fixed-price with a written checklist, always escrow-protected, regardless of your country.
Yes — we work with clients worldwide and are set up for it: USD invoicing, escrow-protected payment, and async-friendly communication across time zones. Your location does not change how we build or how you pay.
